About

Before Mullowney General Contractor, there was Jim Mullowney: a young carpenter from the Bay Area. Setting off to work on sites across the country, Jim garnered a strong sense of fine craftsmanship and quality workmanship before his journeyman carpentry led to the foundation of Mullowney General Contractor, Inc. in 1982. With long-standing headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee, Jim still draws from his various project sites across the country including Sun Valley, Idaho, Telluride, Colorado, and Austin Texas while continuing to honor his treasured Northern California patronage.

The company’s focus is to build homes with that same foundation of quality workmanship. With over forty years of woodworking experience, the most advanced structural construction techniques in the country, and an emphasis on the the impact to the local community and environment, our projects exceed National Energy standards and achieve LEED certification.
